2026 has been a benchmark year for Taylor Sheridan so far, especially with his work expanding the Yellowstone universe on Paramount Plus. Sheridan may have left shows like 1923 and 1883 behind, but he’s still embracing the Dutton family with new chapters like Marshals and Dutton Ranch. Both shows have been renewed for second seasons, but only Marshals is confirmed to return before the end of 2026. Sheridan fans are also in the middle of enjoying the long-awaited third season of Lioness, which has still not been renewed for Season 4, despite a clear desire from the cast and creatives to come back and do more. Another Sheridan-written and produced show with a much clearer future than Lioness is Landman, the hit oil drama led by Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, and a host of other stars.
