Syrian leader to discuss lifting sanctions, reconstruction in 'historic' US visit

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa will make a "historic" visit to Washington DC later this month to discuss issues including lifting remaining sanctions, reconstruction and counter-terrorism with White House leadership, the country's top diplomat said Sunday.
