Suicide Squad Star Teases Possible Return In James Gunn's DCU

Almost four years after his character was killed off onscreen, Jai Courtney addressed the possibility of reprising his role as Captain Boomerang in James Gunn's DCU. The actor originated this role in 2016's Suicide Squad, alongside a star-studded cast of Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Scott Eastwoord, Cara Delevingne, and Viola Davis. Courtney was one of the few actors to return for its 2021 sequel, The Suicide Squad, which was directed by Gunn. Kinnaman, Robbie, and Davis all also reprised their parts. In a wild plot twist, Captain Boomerang was killed off as part of the film's opening bloodbath.
