The BBC has announced that a Strictly Come Dancing legend is going to have a very important role at Saturday’s Eurovision Grand Final.

Each year, a different celebrity is chosen as the UK’s representative to announce the nation’s jury scores during the final stage of the Song Contest.

Last year, popstar Sophie Ellis-Bextor took on the responsibility after Doctor Who actor Ncuti Gatwa withdrew, while in 2024, Absolutely Fabulous star Dame Joanna Lumley took up the mantle.

Now, it has been confirmed that drag superstar La Voix will be declaring the results, fresh off the back of rumours that she could be in contention to be one of the next presenters for Strictly with Emma Willis.

‘I’m absolutely over the moon to be announcing the UK Jury scores at Eurovision 2026,’ La Voix said of her new role.

‘It’s the one night where sequins are en masse, key changes are compulsory, and absolutely anything can happen – so naturally I feel right at home. I’ll do my best to behave… but no promises!’
