Strictly’s Chris McCausland reveals ‘horrific’ moment from Saturday’s live show that wasn’t shown on TV

STRICTLY star Chris McCausland revealed “horrific” moment he was left feeling sick before taking to the dancefloor on Saturday night.

The comedian, 47, performed a fun Cha Cha with pro dancer Dianne Buswell on the first live show.

He scored a respectable 23 points from the judges and came joint sixth on the leaderboard, along with Sam Quek, Tom Dean and Jamie Borthwick.

Despite his impressive routine, Chris has since admitted that he was feeling ill from stress just moments he went on.

Taking to Instagram, Dianne told Chris: “I’m so glad you’ve got a bit more colour in your face than when we started on Saturday.”

He explained: “I was so ill, with fear. The fact that we got through it, it was very emotional wasn’t it.”

Dianne replied: “It was,” to which Chris said: “Yeah, I was so overwhelmed with kind of relief and emotion at the end of it, I found it difficult to speak and then all the judges said things.

“I don’t know what they said, I really don’t know what they said.

“I remember Craig going and then everyone booing and then the others.

“And I then I hadn’t said anything…I should say something. And all I could think of was Craig got booed, so I’d just slag him off.”

He added: “I tried to not put pressure, I tried to go o

It comes after Chris appeared to take a swipe at the dance show on Saturday night.

Stand-up comedian Chris is the first ever blind contestant to take to the Strictly dancefloor.

Viewers at home were left in tears at their performance, with fans across the country expressing their immense pride towards Chris for his efforts in the routine.

After they’d danced, they headed up to chat with Claudia Winkleman and Dianne praised Chris for being such a “hard worker”.

They then addressed an amazing dance floor trick they’d showed off, where Dianne stood on her head and was grabbed by Chris.

He said: “That cartwheel thing, when she suggested it, I said, ‘Are you mad?’”

He joked: “We messed it up so many times. She kicked me in the head one day!

“If there was ever any doubt that I have more sight than I was letting on, I did not avoid nor anticipate it… I stood there and I took a foot right in the face.”

Responding online, fans shared their horror at Chris’ joke, as one wrote: “I know the BBC HR employees felt their souls leave their bodies hearing Chris talk about getting kicked.”

Chris’ joke about being “kicked in the head” comes after a series of complaints about the BBC show.

Pro dancer Graziano Di Prima left the show before the series started after it was alleged he’d been caught on camera ‘kicking’ his dance partner Zara McDermott.

Graziano was fired by the BBC following claims he hit and spat at his former celebrity partner.

The Sun also revealed that Zara had broken a leg bone in a tough training session during the show last year.
