Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell has announced that she is pregnant.

Dianne – who is Strictly’s current reigning professional champion – and her partner Joe Sugg shared their happy news in an Instagram video posted over the weekend.

In the heartwarming clip, the Australian dancer and content creator could be seen jointly putting the finishing touches on a work of art, which they finally turned around to reveal a stick figure family portrait.

Joe also confirmed that the pair are expecting a baby boy, who is due to be born in the new year.

Dianne and Joe met on Strictly back in 2019, when they were partnered together on the long-running BBC dance show.

After making it all the way to the final, the pair then announced that they had begun a relationship while working together, and have been together ever since.

Later this week, Dianne will return for her ninth series of Strictly, where she’ll once again be part of the show’s troupe of professional dancers (Metro has noted that she will be the first of Strictly’s pros to compete on the show while pregnant).

During last year’s season, Dianne was partnered with comedian Chris McCausland, who made history as the first blind celebrity to ever take part in Strictly.

The two got off to a strong start, making it all the way to the final week of the competition without ever landing in the dance-off, and eventually lifting the Glitterball Trophy during last year’s finale.

Chris and Dianne’s emotional Waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone even earned them a Bafta win in the Memorable Moment category earlier this year.

Throughout her time on Strictly, Dianne has also been paired with popstar-turned-minister Reverend Richard Coles, broadcaster Dev Griffin, The Wanted performer Max George, actor Robert Webb, presenter Tyler West and EastEnders star Bobby Brazier.
