With Season 5 of Stranger Things on the horizon, now is the perfect time to look back at those who have haunted Hawkins. Season 1 had one Demogorgon behaving like a Xenomorph, Season 2 had a possessed Will (Noah Schnapp), and Season 3 infected a mass of townsfolk with body horror. That being said, Season 4 of Stranger Things is the show’s darkest chapter yet. It builds onto the gross and frightening imagery and plot lines from what came before for a new threat to besiege the small town of Hawkins, Indiana, doing so by paying homage to one of the best horror movies of the 1980s,A Nightmare on Elm Street.
