Steven Spielberg has made a lot of incredible movies over the course of his long career as a filmmaker. He’s one of my favorite filmmakers of all time, and his 1982 movie E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial is the film that made me fall in love with the movies. He’s the reason why I do what I do!

During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Spielberg revealed what movie he believes is the best film he’s ever made, and that film is the 1993 holocaust drama Schindler's List. He explained:

"It's the best movie I've ever made. I am not going to say it's the best movie I ever will make. But currently, it's the work I'm proudest of."

Schindler's List stars Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, and Ben Kingsley, and it tells the true story of Oskar Schindler, who saved over 1,000 Jewish people during World War II. The film ended up winning seven Oscars, including Best Picture.

It’s not hard to understand why he says Schindler’s List is the best movie he’s made so far. I still remember the first time watching it. I was a young teen and I had never seen anything like that before. The emotions that I had were so overwhelming. I was feeling these hard-hitting emotions that I had never felt before as a 14-15 year-old kid. The movie changed the way that I looked at the world.

Some of Spielberg’s films have really had a big impact on my life. Another film that had a big effect on me was his 1987 movie, Empire of the Sun.
