If you missed Steven Spielberg's critics-approved alien movie in theaters earlier this summer, October may have the most pleasant surprise as the hit sci-fi thriller heads to streaming. Directed and produced by Spielberg, with a screenplay by David Koepp, the film arrived in U.S. theaters on June 12 after debuting in Paris ten days earlier to widely positive critics' reviews that still hold true today, with a Certified Fresh 79% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The masterpiece is also considered a modest financial success, having grossed $241 million worldwide on a $115 million budget after debuting at number one with $44 million domestically.
