2025 was a big year for Stephen King fans, who were treated to two of the best adaptations the author has ever brought to the big screen. The first to arrive was The Life of Chuck, the hit sci-fi movie starring Tom Hiddleston that’s currently streaming on Hulu. The film grossed $19.7 million at the box office after earning scores of 80% from critics and 88% from audiences on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes. Later in the year, Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games) brought a much more harrowing Stephen King tale to the big screen in The Long Walk, which stars Cooper Hoffman and David Jonsson. The film was a box office smash, grossing $62 million against a modest $20 million budget, and it's also been a hit on streaming in the last few weeks.
