Ever since the Cowboys drafted Stefon Diggs’ younger brother Trevon in 2020, there hasn’t been a single offseason where Stefon wasn’t linked to the Cowboys. I mean for the last four years, those links have come and gone as Diggs kept on racking up Pro Bowls and 1,000-yard seasons. While the Cowboys were fortunate to have CeeDee Lamb as their wide receiver. But this year’s links to Diggs have just gone up a notch because of the 4-time Pro Bowler’s actions. Him dressing as a Cowboy has again opened the floodgates of questions asking, ‘Is Stefon Diggs to Dallas finally happening?’
See today, out of nowhere, Diggs thought, why not hype up the Cowboys nation with a clear message to play in Dallas. Well, this message came in the form of a Cowboy cosplay outfit Diggs shared on his Instagram story. Seeing him wearing a traditional Cowboys hat and a jacket makes us think, Is Diggs trying to send a signal to the Cowboys front office? If not, then why would he, among all the outfits he could have chosen, go with a Cowboy attire. You don’t have to study rocket science to decipher that Diggs clearly has a desire to play for America’s team.
After seeing his stock sink to its lowest coming off an ACL, Diggs has yet to find a franchise. Like the free agency market opened on March 10th, and it’s been six days, Diggs has yet to find an offer. Still only 31, the only reason why Diggs hasn’t found a club yet is because of his ACL.

Predicted to lose some of his explosiveness, Stefon might fail to retrace some of his trail blazing capabilities pre-ACL. I mean just look at his numbers for the 8 games he played as a Texan. 47 receptions for 496 yards and 4 total TDs, Diggs had it all going until an ACL derailed everything.
As for the Cowboys, they can surely take a gamble on Diggs by getting him on cheap. PFF once predicted Diggs to get a $16M contract for a year to get career back on track. However, seeing the lack of interest from 31 other franchises in signing him, the Cowboys can get him on a discount. At least, that’s what their fans are demanding after seeing their latest activity on free agency.
Cowboys fans turn on Jerry Jones seeing him sign a Super Bowl Champion
Hmm!! A Super Bowl Champion. Is that Cooper Kupp? Well, not exactly. Kupp has gone to Seattle to link up with Sam Darnold. As for Jerry Jones, he has brought his Dak Prescott someone he might have never heard of. Just yesterday, the Cowboys announced the signing of Super Bowl LIX Champion, Parris Campbell. Yep, out of all the receivers the Cowboys could have targeted after saying they would be selectively aggressive—Dallas zeroed in on Campbell. And within hours of announcing his arrival from Philly to Dallas, the fans were obviously not happy. They were constantly asking “WHO???!!!!” in the comment section.

Some even made fun of the Cowboys 30-year Super Bowl drought saying, “There ya go Dallas….now y’all got somebody that can tell ya what it’s like to win a Super Bowl ” Campbell is coming off a season where he only played in 5 games catching 6 passes for 30 yards and TD. So, obviously, the Cowboys were going to be mocked for seeing him come to Dallas instead of the person they actually wanted. One of them wrote, “Jerry Jones, this is not Stefon Diggs.” This sends Jones a clear message about whom they actually want instead of the ones Jones is bringing to Dallas.
There was another fan who even tried to start a movement to urge Jones into signing Diggs, who is still a free agent, “Use this as a sign Diggs button.” Guess what? Over 150 people also liked that comment. This means, as usual, Jones doesn’t care what his fans want. After saying “all-in” last summer and “selectively aggressive” this offseason, the Cowboys are utterly embarrassing yet again in free agency. Only way they could turn this around is by making Diggs a Cowboy. But will they really do it? Well, the answer only lies in the hands of Jerry Jones. Who doesn’t miss a chance to ignore his fans’ wishes.
