Rising beef prices could soon force restaurants to charge €50 for steaks. Farmers selling cattle may be delighted with record beef prices, up over 30pc in the past year, but restaurants may have to pull expensive cuts from their menus amid warnings that their prices will rise further in the coming weeks.
