Star Trek: Legacy was a proposed spin-off/continuation of Star Trek: Picard, which ended with its third season in 2023. That series concluded with ex-Borg Starfleet officer Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) taking over the captaincy of the newly christened USS Enterprise-G, with several characters with deep connections to Trek history in her crew. Season 3 showrunner Terry Matalas was on board for a possible continuation, as were the cast and crew, but despite a write-in campaign from the fanbase, the series has yet to materialize. With the on-screen Star Trek franchise stuck in the Mutara Nebula at the moment, it doesn't appear that Star Trek: Legacy will happen any time soon. However, on the page, the series is still going strong at IDW Comics. In honor of the franchise's 60th anniversary this fall, they're releasing a new Star Trek series, which launches with a new #1 issue this fall with all your Legacy favorites.
