RLJE Films and Shudder have announced the release date for Night Patrol, the upcoming vampire cop movie starring Jermaine Fowler (The Blackening) and Justin Long (Barbarian). In addition, the movie’s first poster has also been unveiled, featuring a skull with fangs.
“An LAPD officer must put aside his differences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is harboring a horrific secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects he grew up in,” reads the synopsis.
When is the release date for the vampire cop movie?
Night Patrol will have its world premiere on September 19 at Fantastic Fest, followed by a screening at Beyond Fest on September 28. Afterward, the vampire cop movie will arrive in theaters on January 16, 2026.
The movie is directed by Ryan Prows, who co-wrote the screenplay with Shaye Ogbonna, Tim Cairo, and Jake Gibson. Besides Fowler and Long, the ensemble cast also includes RJ Cyler, Freddie Gibbs, CM Punk, YG, Flying Lotus, Dermot Mulroney, Jon Oswald, and Nicki Micheaux. Executive producers are Maxime Cottray, Grady Craig, Matthew Helderman, Luke Taylor, David Tracy, and Gracie Wheelan. The creative team consists of cinematographer Benjamin Kitchens, editor Bradinn French, production designer Ryan Martin, and composer Pepijn Caudron. It has a total runtime of 104 minutes, or an hour and 34 minutes.
Fowler is currently starring in the latest season of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building. Apart from Night Patrol, he’s also attached to star in another horror movie titled Faces of Death with Dacre Montgomery and Charlie XCX. Meanwhile, Long most recently reunited with director Zach Cregger in the hit supernatural thriller movie Weapons. The Barbarian star will next be seen in the horror comedy Coyotes, which will premiere in theaters on October 3.
