Squid Game Season 2 Hits Rare Viewership Milestone That Has Only Been Reached Two Other Times On Netflix

Much like season 1, Squid Gameseason 2 is an unbridled success for Netflix. The sophomore season saw the return of Lee Jung-jae as Seong Gi-hun, as he re-enters the games in an effort to save as many people as possible. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk returned as the director and writer, alongside several other familiar stars. The new episodes come after the success of Netflix's Squid Game: The Challenge, a reality TV spin-off that capitalized on all of Squid Game's brutal contests. The reality spin-off was a notable victory for Netflix, but it hardly compares to the second season.
