After all, Tom Holland's Spider-Man is one of the most popular characters in the MCU, with the character of Spider-Man himself being one of the most popular superheroes of all time. Even so, the movie's record-breaking performance at the box office thus far is truly on another level, as it could very well surpass 2019's Avengers: Endgame by the time its run concludes (it already had a better opening weekend than the 2019 Avengers film).
