Sophie Habboo wants £2k surgery to fix ‘saggy bulldog eyelids’ after Jamie Laing mocked ‘horror movie’ nighttime routine

SOPHIE Habboo has admitted she’s considering getting £2,000 surgery to fix her “droopy” eyelids.

The 30-year-old insisted she’s so self-conscious about ageing that she’s even taken to taping her face before bed – a process that takes her around 45 minutes at nighttime, husband Jamie Laing revealed.

In the latest episode of Jamie and Sophie’s NewlyWeds podcast, the Radio 1 host laughed: “Sophie takes about 45 minutes to get into bed because she does this thing called taping on her face.

“It’s where she gets what I can only describe as masking tape and stretches her face up.

“You look like something out of The Hills Have Eyes!”

Sophie then admitted it was a comment from her make-up artist that made her consider taping, and eventual surgery.

“What happened is that I was getting my make-up done and my eyelid is so droopy now from ageing that my make-up artist can’t do a winged line!” Sophie sighed.

“She said, ‘Look, I’m going to be honest with you, when I wing it like that’ – so she stretches the eye straight to do an eyeliner flick – ‘I can do it, but when I let your eyelid crease naturally, it doesn’t go in a straight line’.

“And I was so shocked. I was like, ‘What the f**k, are you joking?’ It’s time for a bleph!'”

When a giggling Jamie asked what a “bleph” was, Sophie explained that it’s where they “slit the eyelids, stitch them up and a week later you’re good to go”.

She was referring to a blepharoplasty – a “cosmetic procedure that removes excess skin, fat, or muscle from the upper and lower eyelids to improve their appearance”.

“Are you f**king kidding me?” a shocked Jamie replied.

“I’m just trying to steer away from having to get a bleph,” Sophie continued.

“So I thought what I would do is try tape, and just try and lift that eyelid.

“Because at one point, I’m not going to be able to see because my eyelids are so saggy.”

When Jamie chimed in by saying that Sophie would end up looking like a “bulldog”, she concluded: “Yeah, exactly.

“And then it’s going to be bad, because my mascara is smearing all over my wrinkly eyelids!”

Despite Sophie’s admission about her eyelids, she looked incredible as she and Jamie posed up for photographs on the red carpet at the BAFTA Television Awards on Sunday night.
