After her longtime Santa Barbara co-star A Martinez revealed that Marcy Walker was facing “significant health challenges” and high healthcare expenses, the veteran soap actress received support through a GoFundMe campaign. Walker had previously received support from Martinez, who hosted a special two-hour virtual fan livestream with Melissa Braverman on June 7, 2026. The proceeds from the event were contributed toward Walker’s medical expenses.

GoFundMe campaign launched to help Marcy Walker’s health issue

Shortly after Marcy Walker’s longtime Santa Barbara co-star, A Martinez, appeared in a livestream conversation hosted by Melissa Braverman, support for the actress also arrived through a GoFundMe campaign.

During the June 7, 2026, livestream, Martinez set the ticket price at $100, a decision that sparked debate among fans. However, Martinez explained the decision in a heartfelt Instagram video, saying he hoped to raise money for Walker’s healthcare expenses.

“As we approach June 7th, where Marcy Walker and I will LiveCast with our friend Melissa Braverman to dive into the legacy of Cruz and Eden, I wanted to clarify our thinking about the tickets. It’s pretty simple, but easy to misunderstand: we need to raise money to address a real and urgent need. I should have made that clear from the jump, but didn’t, and I offer my apologies for the mistake,” he explained.

Since then, a GoFundMe campaign has also been launched to help Walker with her medical expenses. At the time of writing, the campaign has raised more than $12,000. The campaign’s goal is $15,000, and it appears to be approaching that target.

“While she has spent years giving her time, energy, and heart to others—both as an actress and later through her dedicated ministry and community work—she is currently navigating an ongoing health issue where financial support is urgently needed,” the GoFundMe page reads, “Daytime fans have always been more than just an audience; we are a family. We celebrate together, we remember together, and when one of our own is facing a tough time, we show up.”

Walker and Martinez starred as Eden and Cruz, respectively, in Santa Barbara. They are widely regarded as one of daytime television’s most iconic supercouples.
