Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya's movie Sky Force released on January 24. The movie marked the debut of Veer in Bollywood. It also starred Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in pivotal roles. The patriotic film celebrated the valour of the Indian Air Force. As it released, Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya's film received good reviews from all. Critics praised Akshay and Veer's acting chops. On IMDb, the movie received a fabulous rating of 7.8. Even at the box office, Sky Force managed to perform well.

As per the latest reports, Sky Force added another Rs 5.25 crore to its collection with its first Thursday business. The first week has come to an end and as per a report in Pinkvilla, the total collection of Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya-starrer stands at Rs 87 crore.

Sky Force took a flying start at the box office as it made double digit numbers on its opening day. The report states that it made around Rs 13.75 crore on day 1. It witnessed a good growth on second day as it made Rs 23.75 crore. On day 3, it made around Rs 26.50 crore. On first Monday, Sky Force made approximately Rs 7.50 crore. It continued a steady hold over the weekdays. On day 5, it made Rs 5.75 crore. Day 6, it collected Rs 5 crore and again on day 7, the movie saw slight growth again as it made Rs 5.75 crore. It is being anticipated that Sky Force will mint well on its second weekend and the numbers will go past Rs 100 crore.

The film is directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. It is produced under Maddock Films and Jio Studios. It is reportedly based on India's First airstrike at Sargodha airbase attack of Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Wing Commander Kumar Om Ahuja and Veer Pahariya essays the role of T. Krishna Vijaya aka Tabby. Veer and Sara are paired together in the film. Others like Sharad Kelkar, Varun Badola, Manish Chaudhary, Mohit Chauhan and more make for the supporting cast of the film.
