‘Sinners’ Slides Into an Elite Tier for Horror Movies at Global Box Office

Having completed a month of release in theaters worldwide, director Ryan Coogler's Sinnershas passed yet another milestone at the global box office. This weekend, the movie faced direct competition in the form of Final Destinations Bloodlines, which, in fact, beat its opening weekend record from last month. The sixth installment in the long-running action franchise, which had been laying dormant for 14 years, grossed $51 million in its opening weekend at the domestic box office, while Sinners slipped to the number three spot.
