Sinn Féin wants to collect data on EU citizens living in Ireland

If in Government, Sinn Féin has said it would look at introducing registration for EU, EEA and Swiss citizens. This would mean EU citizens – who have a right to travel freely across the EU and work in other EU member states – would have to submit information to the State about how long they are spending in Ireland, and when they are leaving.
