Afrojack and DubVision have reunited to release "Underwater," a haunting house track that contemplates love's dazzling depths and dangers.
"Underwater" is a compelling departure for Afrojack and DubVision, who tossed their euphoric progressive house sound aside like a wilted bouquet in favor of a darker sound. Out now on Martin Garrix's STMPD RCRDS, the track features synths that ripple like bioluminescent waves and a deep bassline that constrains you with the palpable pull of a riptide.
Meanwhile, the track's brooding lyrics paint a vivid picture of love's treacherous currents and the desperate hope that keeps us afloat, even in the deepest depths. It's a cautionary tale about the allure of those deep waters, where lovers might find solace if able to breathe in that sublime but hostile environment.

The new collaboration follows "Feels Like Home," which served as the official theme song of the 2022 Formula One Dutch Grand Prix. Afterjack and DubVision performed the uplifting track live on the grid for tens of thousands of fans following the track's release.
A year prior, Afrojack commissioned DubVision to provide additional production on "Hero," a collaboration with David Guetta that ultimately garnered a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording.
