Salman Khan's Sikandar was released in theatres on March 30, 2025. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film received mixed to negative reviews from the audience and critics alike. As it was an EID release, fans had a lot of expectations from the Salman starrer. However, the story, the action and even the performances have left everyone disappointed.

Coming to the box office, the Salman Khan starrer has been performing decently so far. The numbers aren't as great as one would expect a Salman's festive release to have. On Wednesday, which was the fourth day of Sikandar's release, it earned Rs 84.45 crore in India. The numbers are quite disappointing considering how Salman's movies would often cross the 100-crore mark within 2-3 days in the past.

The opening collection of the mass actioner was just Rs 26 crore. While day 2 witnessed a bit of the growth, the numbers saw a drop of 30 per percent on the third day and a 50 per cent drop on day 4 and earned only Rs 9.75 crore in India. As reported by The Times of India, the overall occupancy on April 2, or Day 4, was a mere 12.08 per cent in Hindi. The footfall of the morning shows was 5.29 per cent, and it rose to 11.35 per cent in the afternoon and 15.35 per cent for the night shows. Will the movie cross 100 crores by Friday? It's something to look forward to.

Along with Salman Khan, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Randeep Hooda and Prateik Babbar. It was A.R. Murugadoss' fourth Hindi film. He previously directed Ghajini, Holiday and Akira. Many fans expected the film to have same emotional impact like Aamir's Ghajini had. But when Salman's film was release, fans had slammed Sikandar for not being up to the mark.
