SHOPPERS are flocking to the supermarket to get hold of flowers that are scanning for pennies.
One eagle-eyed customer managed to scoop up three bunches of flowers for a staggering 3p.

Often retailers will stock up on seasonal items and reduce prices afterwards if there is an excess.
With Mother’s Day having just been on March 30, shoppers have spotted that the price of stocked flowers has dropped to the floor.
One bargain-hunter took to social media yesterday to share the jaw-droppingly low prices she found.
On a Facebook bargains page, she shared a snap of the separate bouquets of flowers from Sainsbury’s, writing: “Just got these flowers from Sainsbury’s, all the Mother’s Day flowers are scanning at 1p.”
The receipt proved the Rainbow Fun, Luxury Rose and Lily, and Dazzle Bouquet had all indeed scanned for pennies.
Customers were quick to comment on the post which quickly racked up over 100 likes.
One shocked shopper said: “My daughter paid £15 yesterday.”
Another advised: “Asda have loads.”
A third joked: “I thought mine was a bargain lol.”
It appears it wasn’t just a freak accident with the till as others were posting their surprise at the offer.
On the same Facebook page, another excited flower fan wrote: “Mother’s Day flowers 1p in Sainsbury’s this morning. 4p well spent.”
The anonymous member shared a picture of four bouquets – each with the original price tag of £12.50.
Sainsbury’s wasn’t the only supermarket marking down the price of Mother’s Day flowers with Tesco also offering huge discounts.
The Luxury Rose Bouquet received a yellow sticker putting the price at £3 down from £12.
Shoppers described the collection as “beautiful” as well as a bargain, being a fourth of the original price.
After a seasonal holiday ends, supermarkets are often keen to sell off the remaining stock.
This means they will drop prices to tempt shoppers to grab these seasonal items, as they’re less likely to be bought afterwards.
For example, if you’re looking for a great deal on a costume, waiting until just after Halloween is always a good bet.
Or if you’re a chocoholic – the cost of advent calendars is always slashed from December 2.
Holding on until the festive period is over is always a great way to bag a bargain if you want to save your money.
