The return of the Fire Country spinoff Sheriff Country for its sophomore season builds on the twists of season 1’s explosive finale, setting up a challenge greater than ever before for Edgewater Sheriff Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin). Sheriff Country season 1 ending with the revelation that DEA agent Alec Kane (Wes Chatham) was corrupt and the wounding of Deputy Boone (Matt Lauria) at his hand already upped the ante for the CBS drama. However, the even bigger reveal was that DEA Deputy Director Eva Santos (Rachel Ticotin) was actually Mickey’s mother, Maria, who had been believed dead until that moment.
