Meanwhile, director Stanley Kubrick's horror classic The Shining, which King famously detests, is also making a streaming resurgence. Audiences interested in checking out an eerily similar haunted house movie are in luck because a critically acclaimed hit from only a few months ago is now streaming on Hulu and proving to be a major win for the streamer. The film follows a writer who travels to the remote Irish countryside, where he checks into a creaky old hotel supposedly haunted by supernatural entities.
