The Scrubs revival has quickly returned for season 2, but not everything is bigger and better the second time around. After a wildly successful debut in early 2026, the Scrubs reboot proved critics wrong by rewriting the contentious legacy of the original series finale and proving the sitcom's core crew hadn't lost their comedic touch. Whereas cast mainstays like John "J.D." Dorian (Zach Braff), Chris Turk (Donald Faison), and Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke) returned in full force with perfect expansions of their iconic characters, the ABC revival also introduced the next generation of Sacred Heart interns— to undoubtedly lesser fanfare.
