There couldn't have been an actor more suited to the role of John Dutton III in Yellowstone than Kevin Costner. An icon of the Western genre, Costner took his career to the next level thanks to Yellowstone. But he left it all behind when he decided to move on from the show and get to work on an ambitious five-movie Western series that remains stalled halfway through. Despite having proven himself over the decades — he is, after all, a Best Director Oscar winner — Costner had to partially fund his passion project himself. It's unclear if any progress has been made on the series, whose second installment remains unreleased, but audiences can always revisit some of Costner's earlier Westerns. Among the most underrated movies in his filmography is currently available to stream on Peacock, but it won't be around for much longer.
