Ruben Amorim has told Alejandro Garnacho he has no future at Manchester United and to find a new club this summer, according to reports.
Garnacho took aim at Amorim following United’s 1-0 defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final on Wednesday night as he was dropped to the bench for the game.
The 20-year-old replaced Mason Mount in the 71st minute but in a post-match interview with Argentine media, he made it clear he was unhappy with Amorim’s decision to start the match as a substitute.
‘Up until the final I played every round helping the team, and today I play 20 minutes, I don’t know,’ Garnacho said after United’s loss in Bilbao.
‘The final will influence [my decision] but the whole season, the situation of the club. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens afterwards.’

Garnacho’s brother, Roberto, also criticised Amorim for his decision to start the Argentina international on the bench.
‘Working as no-one else, helping every round, coming from two goals in the last two finals, just to be on the pitch for 19 mins and get thrown under the bus,’ Roberto Garnacho wrote.

Amorim, meanwhile, defended his decision and even pointed out Garnacho’s mistake in the semi final against Lyon.
When asked if he should have brought Garnacho on earlier during the final, Amorim replied: ‘How many times have we had this conversation, and it was the opposite? Some players come in, like Mason Mount, against Bilbao and changed the game.
‘So now it is easy to say. Who missed the big opportunity in the first half against Bilbao? Yeah [Garnacho]. Of course, now it is easy for us to talk about a lot of views.’

According to The Athletic, Amorim has informed United’s squad that he will be staying at Old Trafford this summer and has made the team aware that Garnacho will be sold.
Garnacho attracted interest from both Chelsea and Napoli in the January transfer window butthey were unable to reach an agreement with United, who had lowered their asking price to €65m (£54.8m).
Napoli were looking to sign a new winger after selling Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain for €70m (£58.9m).
However, the newly crowned Serie A champions revealed that Garnacho’s wage demands played a role in the deal breaking down in the January window.
It’s understood that United are looking to secure a £60m this summer for Garnacho, who still has three years remaining on his contract.
