In 2009, Bateman joined Rock of Love Bus with Bret Michaels for the show’s final season. At 21, she competed with 22 other women while traveling on tour buses with Michaels. She reached the final nine before her elimination in episode seven after a controversial night.

That episode showed Bateman arriving at the elimination intoxicated alongside other contestants. “I ended up laying on a speed bump balling my eyes out but you know what? I’m here and I’m ready for whatever Brett has to say to me,” she said in a confessional.

Bret Michaels told her, “At some point I looked over during the concert and you were no longer there. And at some point you were laying on a speed bump talking saying you couldn’t handle this any longer. I think tonight the fact that you are needing to be who you are not, the fact you need to drink this much?
