Robert Pattinson returns as Bruce Wayne in the DC Studios sequel. Reeves previously confirmed small tweaks to the Batsuit’s design for the follow-up film. The original suit from The Batman (2022) featured a distinctive armored collar and chest plate. These new set photos show the suit retains its overall silhouette while refining specific panel details.

Principal photography on The Batman: Part II began on June 12, 2026. Filming currently takes place across Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, London, Liverpool, and Glasgow. The production uses the working title Semper Vigilans and includes 11 weeks of scheduled night shoots. Erik Messerschmidt serves as cinematographer after Greig Fraser could not return due to scheduling conflicts.

The sequel stars Pattinson alongside Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell from the original cast. Sebastian Stan joins as Harvey Dent, with Scarlett Johansson as Gilda Dent and Charles Dance as Charles Dent. The film takes place during winter, set weeks after the events of The Penguin television series.

Reeves has stated that Part II focuses more on Bruce Wayne’s alter ego than previous Batman films. He also noted the film features an antagonist not previously used in live-action feature films. Warner Bros. Pictures recently delayed the release date to February 18, 2028, to allow more post-production time.

The sequel remains part of DC’s Elseworlds label, separate from the main DC Universe continuity.
