Riverdale star Madelaine Petsch is no stranger to negative criticism. While her breakout project was well-received, later seasons of Riverdale were consistently met with negative reactions, particularly on social media. The actress plays Maya in the The Strangers film trilogy, and the movies have not been met with the warmest of receptions. Chapter 1 is rated 21% on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, while Chapter 2, which just hit theaters today, has an even worse score at 1%. However, Petsch has learned to take criticism in stride. "I think the best films are polarizing," she said in a recent interview. "That’s what makes film and art so cool," she added.
