National award winning actor Rishab Shetty is preparing to release the much-awaited sequel of his hit Kannada movie Kantara. The movie's action director confirmed that Rishab Shetty performed all of the stunts on his own and didn't use a body double. This is a mythological action-drama movie set in pre-colonial coastal Karnataka. Kantara blends elements of coastal Karnataka folklore, spirit possession rituals, and belief system; the story revolves around Bhuta Kola, a traditional form of worship practiced in the region. It follows a Kambala champion who clashes with a forest officer, which leads to an even larger conflict.

The action director of the upcoming movie Kantara: Chapter 1 said that Rishab Shetty has performed all the stunts bare-bodied. "We didn't use body doubles for Rishab. He performed bare-bodied, with a body language so distinct no dupe could replicate it. He trained in Kalaripayattu, sword fighting, and horse riding. Still, the risks he took were out of pure willpower. I've worked with many actors, but Rishab doesn't stop at 'I'll try my best.' He added, 'I'll do it till I am alive.' That spirit changes everything."
