After taking some time away from the sci-fi genre, Ridley Scott is finally set to return to sci-fi in just a few weeks for his next feature film, The Dog Stars. Scott has delivered historical epics like Gladiator II, Napoleon, and even House of Gucci in recent years, though he’s remained involved in sci-fi projects like Alien: Earth as a producer, giving valuable creative insight. He will continue to produce other sci-fi shows coming soon, like Blade Runner 2099, the Prime Video original series starring Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer. The series is a direct continuation of the first two Blade Runner movies, and it’s set to premiere on streaming on November 25. Scott has directed dozens of movies over the years, some successful and some not, but one of the most underrated thrillers of his career is now much more accessible to watch.
