Resident Evil 9 finally got announced as Resident Evil Requiem in a surprise reveal at Summer Game Fest 2025. It was an incredible trailer, showing just enough details for RE fans to go wild over, including a fascinating new lead character. The game is coming out on February 27, 2026, and while there are many interesting aspects about the trailer, one thing stands out to me as someone familiar with the Resident Evil film series.
