The Washington Commanders are dealing with multiple significant injuries following Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that wide receiver and kick returner Luke McCaffrey broke his collarbone, while starting cornerback Marshon Lattimore is feared to have suffered a torn ACL.
The news comes after quarterback Jayden Daniels left the game with his left arm in a brace due to what was reportedly diagnosed as a dislocated elbow.
McCaffrey suffered his injury on the opening kickoff of Sunday’s loss. The second-year receiver had 972 all-purpose yards this season, including 769 yards on kick returns. He had three receiving touchdowns on 15 targets this season.
Lattimore, a nine-year veteran, is in his first full season with the Commanders after coming over from the Saints at last year’s trade deadline. He had one interception and 27 tackles this season.
The Commanders, who lost to the Eagles in the NFC Championship last year, have struggled with injuries all season and dropped to a disappointing 3-6 after Week 9. They host the Lions in Week 10.
