Ja’Lynn Polk is heading to The Big Easy.
The New Orleans Saints are set to acquire the wide receiver and a 2028 seventh-round pick from the New England Patriots in exchange for a 2027 sixth-round selection, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Saturday.
Polk was placed on the season-ending injured reserve after undergoing shoulder surgery following New England’s pre-season opener.
The Pats selected Polk in the second round (37th overall) of the 2024 draft, but he struggled to get up to speed at the NFL level. The 23-year old played in 15 games last season, starting seven, and amassed just 12 catches for 87 yards and two touchdowns.
Polk now gets a fresh start on a receiver-needy Saints squad. The former University of Washington star is poised to join a 2026 room with Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed and recently-acquired Devaughn Vele.
