A bad season just keeps getting worse for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence will not play Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings because of a shoulder injury, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Saturday.
Lawrence was listed as questionable on the final injury report.
Former New England Patriots starter Mac Jones is expected to start in place of Lawrence. Veteran C.J. Beathard is next on the depth chart.
The Jaguars are 2-7 this year.
Lawrence, the first-overall pick in 2021, has completed 61.3 per cent of his passes for 2,004 yards. He has 11 touchdown passes and six interceptions.
