Tribute bands are very much alive, and it's all thanks to the Foo Fighters. In 2021, these rock legends swapped guitars for glitter, forming a Bee Gees tribute band called the Dee Gees (a pun on both "Bee Gees" and Dave Grohl's initials.) They didn't just release a cover of one song and get on with their regular programming. Their tribute band is anything but a schtick for cheap points at publicity. All dressed up in flares, singing in impossibly high-pitched registers, the group went on to release an entire cover album called "Hail Satin", featuring five funky covers of Gibb family classics (four Bee Gees, one Andy Gibb.)’
