Relief for workers at UK's last blast furnaces as 2,700 redundancies shelved following government's takeover of Scunthorpe steelworks

British Steel has confirmed it will end the consultation on 2,700 redundancies announced by Chinese owners Jingye at the end of March following the government's move to take control.
