All good things must come to an end, but an ending is usually less bitter when said thing has been enjoyed for a while. Unfortunately, that's an experience Kevin Bacon could only wish to have for his horror series, The Bondsman, which was, surprisingly, axed by Prime Video after just one season. All eight half-hour episodes of the series dropped on the streamer on April 3, and the immediate reception was positive. The Bondsman not only topped the charts in its early weeks but was able to sustain momentum thereafter, remaining within the Top 10 since its debut. The audience and critics loved it, and the show seemed poised for a return, but surprisingly, it would become one of those good shows to end too soon.
