Re-Living Single podcast is officially here with first 2 episdoes

-Welcome to ReLiving Single — the official, unofficial rewatch podcast for the iconic sitcom that changed the game.

-In our first episode, real-life besties Erika Alexander and Kim Coles revisit the Living Single pilot, “Judging by the Cover,” where Regine’s new man comes with one big red flag: a whole wife.

-Kim Fields joins for episode 2. Throughout each episode they talk their origin stories that brought them to the show.

-Some tidbits include: Kim Coles/Queen Latifah had a development deal and were part of the development. All the characters are named after and based on various people in Yvette Lee Bowser (creator) life.
The show almost didnt happen as Fox/WB were unhappy with the initial scripts so they brought in a white guy to help on the show and serve as showrunner but he let Yvette run things instead of stepping on their toes.
Erika had to audition for the show and execs wanted to get rid of her but Len Moonves was a fan of hers and ensured she got the show.
Kim Fields approached YLB about doing a black version of Mad About You but since YLB was already working on Living Single she couldn't do it but instead offered Kim the role of Regine.
Kim Coles and QL hated the Living Single name and went to Len to get it changed but he simply thanked them for coming. The OG name, My Girls couldnt be used since there was already a film by a similar name (My Girl starring Macaulay Culkin, and Anna Chlumsky )
