Following Srikanth and Maalik, Rajkummar Rao is set to take on another real-life character in Prahaar: The Untold Story Of Ujjwal Nikam. The courtroom drama revolves around the life and career of renowned public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, who rose to national prominence for handling several high-profile criminal cases.
The film is expected to delve into Nikam’s role in the prosecution of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack convict Ajmal Kasab, while also shedding light on the intense pressure and challenges surrounding some of India’s most closely watched legal battles.
Now, Rao’s upcoming film Prahaar has locked a new theatrical release date. The film is now scheduled to hit cinemas on 16th October 2026.
The makers announced the new date with the intriguing line, “When justice needed a voice, one man became its Prahaar…”, offering a glimpse into the film’s central character and its serious subject.
