Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) is set to confront her blackmailer in upcoming scenes from Coronation Street next week.
The teenager has been the recipient of several threatening texts ever since she stole and crashed Tracy Barlow’s (Kate Ford) van.
Intercepting as Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) set about destroying the contents of Tracy’s van, Lauren hopped in the driver’s seat and sped off as Tracy gave pursuit – only to promptly crash soon afterwards.
Aware that Lauren’s criminal record would put her back in jail if she was arrested, Betsy agreed to take the rap, and Lauren fled before she could be caught.
However, someone knew what she’d done – and Lauren received a threatening text message soon afterwards, telling her that they knew she’d been driving the van – and demanding £200 for their silence.
Convinced that she knows who’s been tormenting her, Lauren sets a plan into motion to confront her blackmailer – but is she correct in her suspicions?

Having shown Betsy a text from her blackmailer, Lauren reveals that she thinks she knows who might be responsible for her torment.
She thinks it might have been Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll), who’s looking for excuses to spend more time with her.
Angry at herself for suspecting Bobby, a fired-up Lauren decides that she’s going to call the blackmailer’s bluff.
But is she right about Bobby?

Later, Lauren sets her plan into motion by planting some fake cash for the blackmailer to pick up.
Hiding nearby, Lauren and Betsy wait to see who turns up.
Will Bobby reveal himself as Lauren’s blackmailer?
