Quentin Tarantino doesn't hold back his criticism of the film business and where it's headed, but he's equally passionate in his praise when he enjoys something. Earlier this year, Tarantino revealed that his favorite movie of 2026 is the Netflix crime-thriller The Rip, starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Tarantino appreciated the film for standing out in an era defined by movies that lack personality. He also gave a shout-out to Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1, the first installment of Kevin Costner's epic Western franchise. Over the years, Tarantino has regularly updated his list of favorite films since he began directing. Now, his favorite WWII movie of recent times is streaming in the United States on Paramount+.
