Arsenal are set to make a late call on Jurrien Timber’s involvement in today’s Champions League semi-final showdown with Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG sealed a 1-0 victory in last week’s first leg in north London with Ousmane Dembele silencing the Emirates after just four minutes.
The Gunners must stage a fight back in the French capital where they will be boosted by the availability of Thomas Partey, who missed the first leg through suspension.
The Ghana international’s presence in midfield was sorely missed and despite playing the full 90 in the home defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday evening, he is expected to return to the starting XI alongside Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard.
Odegaard also played the full 90 against the Cherries with Rice replaced after 74 minutes. Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli remained on until the 86th minute.

PSG meanwhile rested 10 players in their Ligue 1 match against Strasbourg the same evening with Joao Neves the only player to keep his place in the side.
Timber was not in the Arsenal squad against Bournemouth with Mikel Arteta later revealing he had concerns over the Dutchman’s availability this week.

The Dutchman was pictured back in training on Tuesday, but Arteta confirmed that a late call will still need to be made about the defender’s involvement at the Parc des Princes.
‘We will assess him today whether he can start or not,’ the Spaniard said in Tuesday’s pre-match press conference.
Ben White was back in the starting XI in Timber’s place against Bournemouth and will be expected to start at right-back should Timber not be deemed fit.

Arsenal remain without Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Takehiro Tomiyasu for the rest of the season but are able to welcome back Riccardo Calafiori following his latest spell on the treatment table.
‘He’s fit and he’s ready to play when we need him so that’s great news obviously,’ Arteta said of the Italian.
Jakub Kiwior will continue alongside William Saliba at the heart of defence with Leandro Trossard expected to lead the line having played the full 90 minutes in the last three games.
PSG, meanwhile, were made to sweat over the fitness of their top goal scorer Dembele, after he was forced off in the second half last week at the Emirates.
The France international was spotted back in training on Monday, however, and Enrique said the forward should be able to feature this evening.
