Yesterday’s Astro Bot update marked the completion of Vicious Void DLC, which brought new challenge levels and bots to rescue. This is the third DLC pack the game has received since launch, following Stellar Speedway and Winter Wonderland.
Astro Bot Vicious Void DLC adds 5 free levels
Vicious Void adds another five free challenge levels with a bot each. Unlike the Stellar Speedway pack, which came with six stages and a silver trophy, the third DLC pack offers five bronze trophies for simply beating the levels.
The challenge levels are as follows:
Tick-Tock Shock (Timely Rescue trophy) Thurst or Bust (Thursting Rescue trophy) Cock-A-Doodle-Doom (Rooster Rescue trophy) Hard to Bear (Bearly Rescued trophy) Armored Hardcore (Rolling Rescue trophy)There’s no indication that this is the final set of DLC for Astro Bot, and given the game’s ongoing popularity, we expect more free content in the near future. However, when that’ll happen is anybody’s guess right now.
Astro Bot has been a hit for Sony, with the character becoming the de facto PlayStation mascot. The game received its own limited edition DualSense controller and is part of a new PS5 hardware bundle. Sony has also spent a pretty penny projecting Astro Bot onto the Las Vegas Sphere.
