PS5 Players Can Try Upcoming RPG for Free, PS Plus Not Needed

A promising new RPG is coming to PS5 soon, but players can check it out for free right now via the PS Store. Ocean Drive Studio and Kakao Games have dropped a free demo for Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch, and it’s not locked behind PS Plus Premium.

Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch will release on PS5 in October, but you can play it for free now

Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch spent some time in early access on Steam, where it received positive reviews from players. The game is finally ready to launch on all platforms, including the PS5, on October 9, 2025.

The tactical RPG combines grid-based combat with roguelite battlefields to tell the story of a warrior stranded on a mysterious island following a shipwreck. Having lost his memories, the warrior teams up with a witch to bring down their enemies together.

The free demo offers a taste of Lost Eidolons’ tactical battles, roguelite challenges, and progression system. All progress and upgrades earned in the demo will carry over to the full game, should players wish to purchase it for $24.99 (standard edition).

Although the demo isn’t limited to PS Plus Premium, members can use their pricey subscription to stream it instead of downloading it.
