PS5 Getting Highly Anticipated 2026 Xbox Game

It is no secret that Microsoft is bringing its catalog of Xbox games to PS5. While the first releases were smaller titles, like Pentiment and Grounded, the latest releases are from some of the company’s biggest gaming franchises, including Forza and Gears of War. At TGS 2025, Microsoft revealed Forza Horizon 6, and it’ll zoom onto PS5 after its Xbox and PC launch.

Forza Horizon 6 was announced at Tokyo Game Show 2025

The Forza Horizon 6 announcement was revealed alongside a teaser trailer. The trailer opens with a shot inside a garage with license plates from regions featured in previous entries. The trailer ends with a shot of a Japanese license plate, and then a shot of Mount Fuji before the title reveal, officially unveiling its rumored Japan setting.

“While we’re not announcing too much in terms of detail right now, we’re excited to show fans the true breadth of beauty – both natural and urban environments – that Japan has to offer,” explains Playground Games Art Director Don Arceta. “From the neon lights and towering buildings of Tokyo City – one of our most detailed and layered environments to date – to the serenity and natural beauty of Japan’s rural and mountain areas, we think players will be blown away by the open world of Japan that we have built.”

Although Forza Horizon 6 isn’t releasing until 2026, it will initially be available on Xbox consoles and PC. Microsoft did confirm a PS5 version will release “post-launch”, but did not give a specific time frame.

The teaser, which can be above, did not feature any gameplay for Forza Horizon 6. However, Playground Games did confirm that they will be revealing more about the game in “early 2026.”

For players looking forward to Forza Horizon 6, its predecessor, Forza Horizon 5, is available on PS5 now. Since its launch in April this year, it has become one of the best-selling PlayStation games of the year.
