PS5 Finally Getting Hit Diablo-Inspired Game With Big Free Update

A popular game inspired by Diablo and Vampire Survivors is headed to PS5 along with free content, its developer has announced. Chasing Carrots’ Halls of Torment has been out in early access on Steam since 2023, where it instantly became a fan-favorite hoard survival game.

A PS5 release date for Halls of Torment has yet to be revealed, but Chasing Carrots promised that the game will be “out soon” on consoles. The port will include all free content alongside premium DLC.

Free content includes the big incoming “Bardcore” update. An overview courtesy of Chasing Carrots is as follows:

Introducing the long-awaited new character: The Bard! Six new abilities! Six new endgame artifacts! Three metal music tracks with music selection per stage! Manual level-ups!

Premium DLC The Boglands will be available for purchase via the PS Store. It’ll add over 50 new quests, a new stage, new heroes, new abilities and gear, and much more.

“Halls of Torment is a horde survival game with a pre-rendered aesthetic ripped straight from the halcyon days of the late 90s,” an official overview reads. “Choose your character and descend into the deadly Halls of Torment. Survive wave after wave of unholy horrors.”

Halls of Torment’s console price has not been announced.
